Skylark Soft Limited – a leading ‘Made in Bangladesh’ software technology provider – recently joined hands with ROBI, a leader in telecom industry of the country.
The collaboration is a part of strategic expansion of Skylark to tap larger chunk in the Bangladesh’s apparel manufacturing industry.
Being a channel partner of Skylark, ROBI initially will now be selling three of the Skylark’s products under revenue sharing model. These products are – goRMG ERP (an ERP solution for apparel industry); PROTRACKER (real-time garment production tracking system) and KNITRACKER (fabric roll tracking system for knitting & dyeing industry).
Speaking about the need of collaborating with a telecom company, B M Shorif, Managing Director & CEO, Skylark Soft Limited, shared with Apparel Resources, “Though ROBI is a telecom operating company, they have good access to the garment industry as well a huge number of corporate customers within this sector and, of course, they have a great brand value as well. They are performing well in enterprise solution business; hence, after analysing this, we agreed to work together.”
It’s worth mentioning here that Skylark Soft Limited took a significant dent in April and May this year due to closure of factories amidst ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
However, the garment manufacturing industry has now started understanding the importance of technology in post-COVID time. As more factories are talking sincerely about adopting more relevant technologies now to see sustainable business, the partnership aims to capturing the opportunity.
“We have been doing good post-pandemic and the feedback from the factories has been really positive for us. We also added some new clients in our list lately and, within December, some more clients will be added,” asserted Shorif.
