Austria-based Fahnen-Gärtner GmbH, which processes nearly 500,000 m2 of textiles every year recently purchased a Eurolaser 3XL-series laser cutting system. The laser cutting system has a processing area of approximately 10 m2, which is ideal for cutting large-format textiles. The laser system is ideal for cutting, marking, and engraving all sorts of contours, including the finest details. The system uses a CO2 laser beam which hits the surface from above, with 100-600 W power in a 0.22 mm2 beam. For enabling the cut exactly along the printed edges, the system uses a video camera which recognizes defined fiducial marks as reference points. Areas of up to 3210 X 3200 mm. can be processed by the system.
