Enjoying the success of switching the ERP solutions of various big apparel manufacturing units from SAP to STAGE, APS Velu, Director – Business Development, Ecotech Software believes the level of integration provided by STAGE is unparalleled. With a successful Asian customer base of Raymond, Future Group, Scotts Garments, Gokaldas Images, Kitex, Vardhman, Indian Terrain, Laguna, Cotton Blossom (all from India), Ghimli Singapore, Greenland Dhaka, Busana Remaja Indonesia, the company is currently eyeing Bangladesh market, especially Chittagong to explore growth opportunities.
The ERP solution poses as an end-to-end apparel software solution with modules like Costing, Order Entry, Production Planning, Material Requirement Planning, BOM, Purchase, Inventory, Packing, Documentation, T & A, Accounts, Payroll, Sampling, MIS Reporting and Retail. The newest addition to the knitting and dyeing module has completed the essence of STAGE. The modules cover all processes like yarn dyeing, fabric dyeing and knitting. “There are processes like generating batch wise fabric, tracking bill receipt, trying of chemicals for dyeing, colour management, QC and consumption monitoring. All these are handled by knitting and dyeing module,” says Velu.
Besides all this, there is the facility for sample tracking when samples are sent to buyers for approval. The approved samples are then marked in the system that can be further linked to the dyeing unit for better transparency. “Normally the case is that the shade has to be discussed before samples are sent for approval. If the shades are appropriate, you go ahead, otherwise you have to rework on that particular roll,” explains Velu. The company currently has tie-ups with Crossline Knit Fabrics Ltd. and Bengal Hurricane (also known as Arabi Fashion Ltd.). “We are in the process of talk with the Esquire Group as well,” informs Velu.

The company is offering customization options to the Bangladesh market in shipping module also. It has built the mechanism in its module that works with the market where based on LCs, exporters can raise back LCs to suppliers. Velu also ensures no chances of data manipulation with various data controls and complete audit system. There are checks and validations that do not allow showing production more than cutting, or finishing more than sewing. In the complete system, if a change is done, the change is recorded which will show the previous value along with the new value. It will also show the person who made the changes, date of change, time of change, IP address, etc. An e-mail will also be sent to the concerned departments making them aware of the change. “This system is extremely helpful, majorly in two ways. First, any data mismatch can be recorded and audited; and second, every concerned department is aware that a change has happened, and as such planning could be done for the future,” concludes Velu.
