Military Crew

This season saw an abundance of militaryinspired looks, which were present on the runways in the form of overalls, shirting, buckled skirts and most of all, all sorts of outerwear. There were tonnes of details that pulled this trend together – the use of multiple utility pockets, embroidery and frogging on blazers, transitional parkas were present at PacoRabanne, Akris, Saint Laurent and Céline. Burberry Prorsum reinforced their looks with strong jackets and coats with gold detailing and embellishments; Alexander McQueen presented an all-white look with military focused styling through body-chains. The military palette ranged from khakis to navy to rich burgundy shades with a special focus on olive.
