
One Corporate Director and two Sponsor Directors of one of the concerns of Pacific Group, Pacific Denims Limited, have expressed interest to sell a small portion from their holding shares even if in the last fiscal year, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic,the company suffered 55 per cent net profit decline.
Media reports maintained this adding as per a recent disclosure made in this regard, Corporate Director Disney Properties Ltd., reportedly, expressed interest to sell 1.6 lakh shares, while the Sponsor Directors, Shadequl Alam and Shafiqul Azam, reportedly, expressed interest to sell 5.4 lakh and 8.5 lakh shares, respectively, even as the shares would, reportedly, be sold in public market within the next 30 working days, through the Dhaka Stock Exchange or DSE.
Reports further added in the last 2020-21 fiscal year, Pacific Denims, which is a readymade garments and denims fabric manufacturer and exporter, suffered a net profit decline by 55 per cent due to the Coronavirus pandemic even as in July-September period of the current fiscal year, its earnings per shares (EPS), reportedly, declined by 47 per cent to Taka 0.10 from what was Taka 0.19 in the same period of the previous fiscal year even if the company has, reportedly, maintained under the pandemic’s impact on the overall business, its sales and net profit in the previous fiscal decreased.
