
Students of BUET or Bangladesh University of Textiles recently took to the streets with a list of their demands including conducting online exams even if the students’ protest resulted in traffic congestion on the road from Mohakhali to Mogbazar in capital Dhaka.
Media reports maintained this citing concerned officials.
Speaking to the media, chief of the Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station, Kazi Abul Kalam, reportedly, said the BUET students took to the streets in the morning hours while adding police personnel were trying to remove them and ease the traffic congestion, resulting from their protest.
Meanwhile, as per reports, amongst the students’ demands was holding online examinations due to the risks of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic even as they held placards listing their demands.
