The government has appointed Major General Mohammad Moazzem Hossain as the executive chairman of the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (Bepza). The appointment was confirmed in a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Sunday, 21 September.
Moazzem, an officer of the Bangladesh Army, will serve in the new role on deputation, the circular said.
Bepza, which operates under the Office of the Chief Adviser, is the principal government body responsible for promoting investment in the country’s export processing zones.
