The Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA) has recently re-elected AKM Salim Osman as the President of the trade body.
Others who have been elected in important positions in the BKMEA board are Vice Presidents MA Hatem, Amal Podder and Gauhar Siraj Jamil, and Morshed Sarwar Sohel in the leading position for the new executive body.
Salim Osman will take charge for the fifth consecutive term for the session 2019-21, said a BKMEA handout on Thursday.
Taking charge of the trade body, Salim Osman said BKMEA has been focused on global market development in collective efforts of member organisations.
He also urged the member organisations to adopt business automation to tackle the challenges of upcoming industrial revolution.
