Faruque Hassan, the President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), has underlined that the country can earn at least US $ 2 billion more, if it can grab the opportunities that exist in the growing international market for apparels made of man-made fibres (MMF).
… we can add additional exports worth US $ 2 billion at least, reportedly, maintained the BGMEA President while underlining that there is a huge opportunity in the market for MMF-based apparels.
This the BGMEA President, reportedly, stated while addressing the pressmen at his Dhaka-based office on 8 June (Tuesday) even as he reiterated BGMEA’s request to the Government to provide 10 per cent cash incentive for non-cotton-based apparel export for some time so as to help the Bangladesh garment sector maintain its competitive edge in the global market.
