Benapole land port in Bangladesh could face some issues following calling of an indefinite strike by the Benapole Transport Agency Owners Association from 17 May (Tuesday).
According to reports, the transport owners at Bangladesh’s largest land port had decided to go in for the strike demanding adequate cranes and forklifts.
Meanwhile, speaking to the media, General Secretary of Benapole Transport Agency Owners Association, Azim Uddin Gazi, reportedly, underlined due to lack of adequate number of cranes and forklifts, loading and unloading of heavy goods was seriously hampered, due to which it was taking longer to unload import consignments which is forcing the traders to go to another port, he said.
