
The Chittagong Export Processing Zone or CEPZ has auctioned the assets of now closed Mithun Knitting and Dyeing Limited in the face of mounting liabilities even as the auction rate and the name of the buyer of the listed textile company has not been disclosed yet.
Media reports maintained while adding the Mithun Knitting and Dyeing Limited downed its shutters two years ago.
Meanwhile, speaking to the media, CEPZ General Manager Moshiuddin Bin Mesbah, reportedly, maintained the auction took place around two months ago, while adding CEPZ was now waiting for the approval of the Executive Committee of BEPZA or the Bangladesh Export Processing Zone Authority for the handover.
