The upcoming Bangladesh Denim Expo, to be held on 5 and 6 November 2019, is all set to adopt Kingpins’ standards in terms of CSR & chemical responsibility for the exhibitors.
As per media reports, the organisers of the event have maintained that all denim mills exhibiting in the Bangladesh Denim Expo will have to meet or exceed standards in the areas of corporate social responsibility (CSR), environment and chemical usage.
“Our objective is not only to promote and improve the denim industry within Bangladesh, but also to encourage sustainable, transparent business practices that benefit both the people of our country and the global environment as a whole,” underlined founder and CEO of Bangladesh Denim Expo, adding, “Like the organisers of Kingpins Show, we believe that trade shows have the opportunity to hold the industry accountable and we are proud to be at the forefront of this movement.”
Kingpins will reportedly help Bangladesh Denim Expo by supplying it with the guidelines and requirements it has developed for Kingpins exhibitors.
The upcoming Bangladesh Denim Expo, centred around the theme of ‘Responsibility’, will reportedly witness around 100 exhibitors.
