Ltd., and GMS Trims Ltd., have announced their recent achievement of the prestigious Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum certification under the latest version 4.1, O+M-Existing Building category, awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). This significant recognition underscores the companies’ commitment to sustainability and their ambition to transform the global fashion industry.
Founded in 1999, GMS has established itself as a reputable entity in the Bangladesh garment industry, focusing on enhancing business processes while fostering a healthy and invigorating workplace environment. With this latest achievement, the total number of LEED-certified factories in Bangladesh rises to 239, including 97 Platinum, 128 Gold, 10 Silver and 4 Certified statuses. The ongoing increase in LEED certifications highlights the industry’s proactive stance on sustainability and responsible manufacturing practices.
