This is as per reports, which added the Minister made the call at the 14th meeting of the tripartite consultative committee (TCC) of the readymade garment sector in the capital Dhaka recently even if as per the rules, the factory owners will also have to pay salary of seven workdays of April before the Eid holidays, which the Labour Ministry has underlined in a statement issued in this direction.
Begum Monnujan Sufian also reportedly instructed the factory owners to follow the Government rules in case of allowing workers to enjoy holidays.
It may be mentioned here the TCC is a body consisting of worker leaders, Government representatives and factory owners and formed for the sake of the garment sector, which had not taken any decision on payment of salary for 10 to 20 days of April before Eid holiday.
