Ananta Companies has significantly expanded rooftop solar capacity at its Ananta Garments Ltd. facility in Ashulia. The new installation marks a major step in the group’s long-term renewable energy strategy and builds on earlier solar projects at the site.
The expansion is being executed with integrated engineering and supply support from B Trac Engineering Ltd. and other EPC partners. Senior factory leadership, senior representatives from B Trac Engineering, Director of Ananta Companies Ridwan Zahir Khan, and Associate Director of Engineering Md. Rafiqul Islam attended an inauguration ceremony to mark the commissioning of the new systems.
As part of its broader green-transition agenda, Ananta has already installed close to 1 MWp of rooftop solar capacity across civil structures at its Ashulia production campus. The latest installation represents the next phase of this programme, with a substantial portion of new capacity already generating power. Parallel installations have also been completed across several sister facilities located in different industrial zones, further increasing the group’s total renewable output.
Daily generation has exceeded 835 kWh, with cumulative output surpassing 36,876 kWh and peak production reaching approximately 165 kW. Additional technical measurements indicate balanced phase currents, durable insulation resistance and uniform string voltages.
Environmental indicators also show positive outcomes, including measurable reductions in carbon emissions and coal consumption, as well as significant tree-equivalent benefits. The company notes that financial gains from renewable generation further complement the ecological impact.
