Ultra-light, stretchy fibre made from castor oil seeds launched by Fulgar

Italian synthetic fibre manufacturer, Fulgar launched a new nylon fibre made from bio-polymer derived entirely from castor oil seeds, called Evo. Displaying quick-drying, non-iron, natural thermal and bacterio-static properties, the Evo fibre is ideal for sportswear. The biopolymer used in the production of this fibre does not affect the human food chain adversely as it is not used in the food sector, like the other bio-based polymers that use natural products. Fulgar operates worldwide in the synthetic yarns market and is a leader in the production and distribution of Polyamide 6.6 and covered spandex in the textile and technical sectors.
