Focusing on a niche product is a growth engine for many companies and NM Apparels, Mumbai has chosen swimwear on the same lines which is in fact proving a success. NM Apparels – a young company manufacturing private labelling for other brands, offers design and manufacturing solutions for swimwear. “There is no MOQ requirement for us; we are ready to serve any kind of order as we want to promote swimwear in the country as a product. Swimwear is a growing market and it is growing by leaps and bounds. Our main market is India though we are exporting and retailing across 10 countries with the brand name ‘Nidhi Munim’. We are overwhelmed with the response in India which proves that people in India are getting more comfortable with swimwear. Our effort is to increase the percentage of swimwear in India,” shared Nidhi Munim, NIFT Graduate from Kolkata and Head of NM Apparels.
As of now, the company manufactures 300 pieces per day and has a design studio, sampling and production unit. Recently, the company participated in a focused event for intimatewear industry and is anticipating getting new avenues. It is expecting 50 to 60 per cent growth in the current fiscal, the same as it achieved last year. “We provide cost-effective solutions to major swimwear brands and do have good QC, technical response team, to take care of all issues and to serve our buyers better,” Nidhi concluded.
