Intertek, renowned Total Quality Assurance provider to apparel industry worldwide, inaugurated its expanded Softlines testing Laboratory in Chattogram, Bangladesh, recently. Chattogram being the country’s major import-export hub, is the right choice for the new facility that offers enhanced chemical management and analytical testing services for the textile, apparel and RMG sector.

Since the demand had increased, Intertek expanded the square footage of its lab by 50 per cent. The extended facility will enable the testing solution provider to offer its services with reduced turnaround time. Physical as well as Analytical testing capabilities have been strengthened whereas inspection capacity has been reinforced with assurance services added to the portfolio, making Chattogram facility the only full service capability in the region.
Furthermore, the company assures product compliance for various global and customer specific standards and regulatory requirements and provides a broad environmental Chemical Management approach in order to manage as well as reduce hazardous chemicals throughout the textile and apparel supply chain network.
