Frette China has commenced its first flagship store in Shanghai’s Puxi District. In addition to accessories, the company offers classic and seasonal collections of bed linen and towels.
Having its headquarters in Monza, Frette specializes in luxury home furnishings, including bedding and towels, and provides linen to hotels such as The Peninsula Hong Kong, Raffles Hotel Singapore, The Four Seasons and The Ritz London.

Although the company has 25 stores across Asia, it still regards the Asian market as significantly underdeveloped. “We have opened flagships in Taiwan and Hong Kong, but in reality we have just started in Southeast Asia,” said Herve Martin, CEO Frette. He further added “China is the place of the moment and will play a major role in the coming decades — not only in the luxury business industries, but also in all other industries. China is at the forefront of world evolution. Now is the right time to build up here.”
Martin expects that, after Shanghai, there may be a demand to open similar flagship stores in Beijing, and the company’s mid-term goals could in all probability also include Chengdu, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
