Imran Joona, the head of Sears Holdings Corp’s online operations and a key member of Chief Executive Eddie Lampert’s management team is leaving the company in February 2015. Joona has been a central figure in developing online programs such as the ‘Shop Your Way’ digital loyalty program for Sears and Kmart customers. He joined Sears in 2007 and previously held positions at retailers including OfficeMax and the now-defunct Circuit City. No replacement has been named yet. The move comes as Sears is attempting to restore profitability by shrinking its network of stores and promoting the integration of its bricks-and-mortar and online capabilities. The company has lost more than US $ 6 billion over the past four years, including US $ 548 million in the most recent quarter and has sold off assets to generate cash.
