LA-based sustainable fashion brand ‘Reformation’ on Thursday launched its first line of swimwear that follows the same eco-friendly practices as its existing line of dresses, special occasion wear, denim, tops, bottoms, jumpers, tees, outerwear and accessories.
Created in 2009 by Yael Aflalo, a sartorial innovator who made eco-friendly clothing look truly fashionable, stands by ensuring that each piece is produced by responsible manufacturing partners in the US or abroad by incorporating sustainable materials and methods, to include vintage garments, for which the brand is known.
The nine-piece line of swimwear is made from 85 per cent recycled materials. The collection includes one piece tankini and separate bikini tops and bottoms priced between US $ 78 and US $ 178, which are available for purchase on the company’s website and at its four stores in the US. Available in solid colours, stripes and gingham check prints, the colour palette utilizes pastel and primary tones. Interestingly, their Hacienda bikini top and Mandalay bikini bottoms are already on a waitlist.
