Flying Machine, an apparel brand owned by India-based textile major Arvind Limited, is planning to lock around Rs. 1,000 crores in revenue by the year 2022.
Famous for its denim, Flying Machine has marked significant growth over the years from Rs. 170 crores in 2014 to around Rs. 350 crores in the last fiscal. Thus, the Rs. 1,000 crores target looks quite possible for the company.
The company currently operates 175 outlets, 242 large format stores and over 500 multi-brand outlets. It will reportedly add 50 more sales points by the end of this year to expand its reach. The move will help Flying Machine in generating more revenue.
Additionally, the retailer no longer wants to be just a male-centric brand and is planning to re-launch its womenswear segment.
“We have been silent on womenswear. The brand is beyond jeans; it is a youth fashion brand. Our target is Rs. 1,000 crore in revenue and with the kind of growth the brand is looking at, the target is very much achievable,” reportedly said Alok Dubey, Chief Executive Officer (Lifestyle Brands), Arvind Lifestyle Brands.
Flying Machine has been in the business since the year 1980. The brand sells denim, T-shirts and footwear that attract today’s youth.
