
Columbia Sportswear noted an increase of 17 per cent in its second quarter sales to reach US $ 380.2 million. Sales surged by 45 per cent in USA; in Canada by 27 per cent; and sales in Latin America and Asia Pacific region soared by just 1 per cent. Tim Boyle, CEO of the company said, “Strong sell-through of Spring 2015 products in North America and Europe drove demand in the second quarter and is fueling encouraging Spring 2016 wholesale advance orders.”
Founded in 1938, the US-based Columbia Sportswear manufactures and distributes outerwear and sportswear. It also manufactures footwear, headgear, camping equipment, skiwear, and outerwear accessories.
