Urmi Group has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dinajpur and Jamalpur Textile Institutes, marking a significant step towards bridging the gap between academia and industry in Bangladesh’s textile sector. Building on its successful collaborations with Sirajganj Textile Institute and Daffodil International University, Urmi Group aims to foster closer ties between educational institutions and the industry to better prepare students for real-world challenges.
The new partnership outlines several key initiatives, including the establishment of dedicated Resource Centers to facilitate research and learning, as well as promoting circularity through sustainable design practices, material reuse, and waste reduction. Additionally, the collaboration will provide students with opportunities for internships and industrial visits, offering valuable experiential learning experiences.
By integrating circular economy principles into textile education, Urmi Group is committed to developing a new generation of sustainability-conscious professionals. These efforts are designed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge essential for leading Bangladesh’s textile industry towards a more sustainable and innovative future.
