Kazi Fahad has been elected as the new National President of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh, an esteemed international organisation focused on youth leadership and development. The election took place during JCI Bangladesh’s general meeting held on December 6 at Hotel Le Meridien in Dhaka.
Fahad, who serves as the managing director of Kazi Printing and Accessories and is also a director at the Bangladesh Garments Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA), will lead the organisation for a one-year term. His election was confirmed through a voting process conducted during the meeting.
In his inaugural address, Fahad emphasised JCI’s role as the largest non-political youth organization in Bangladesh. He outlined his vision for the coming year, highlighting a commitment to nurturing the talents of energetic young individuals, creating employment opportunities, and fostering business connections between Bangladeshi youth and the global community.
The election was supervised by outgoing president Md Ziaul Haque Bhuiyan, who acted as the election commissioner, alongside founding president Masud Mannan and Shakhawat Hossain Mamun, who were also part of the election commission.
JCI, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, is a global organisation for individuals aged 18 to 40, boasting over 200,000 members across more than 120 countries. In Bangladesh, JCI is represented by 41 local chapters dedicated to personal development, skill-building, and leadership training for the youth.
