
The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and MAQI Technology Group Co Ltd., have entered to improve the capabilities and competitiveness of the ready-made garment (RMG) industry through the integration of cutting-edge technology and advanced machinery and the development of worker skills
The partnership, which was unveiled on 24th February at an event held at the Radisson Blu in Dhaka, is to improve the knowledge and proficiency of RMG employees in using cutting-edge machinery.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan attended the event as the chief guest.
With an emphasis on offering thorough training programmes, the cooperation aims to provide RMG employees with the most recent abilities needed to succeed in garment sewing.
Through the use of Euromac’s cutting-edge machinery and technology, the programme seeks to create cutting-edge lab spaces where aspiring seamstresses can refine their skills under the supervision of knowledgeable instructors.
Euromac will provide advanced machines and technical support to both BGMEA and the BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) to develop the skills and knowledge of both workers in the industry and students at BUFT, empowering them to be robust in the rapidly evolving landscape of garment manufacturing.
Faruque Hassan, President of the BGMEA, emphasised in his speech the importance of the industry using technology, expertise, and innovation to diversify products and take market share from higher-value segments of the global fashion market. In light of changing market realities, he emphasised the critical role that technology and skill development play in maintaining the industry’s relevance and sustainability.
