Furthermore, all 21 Illinois athletic teams will wear Nike’s uniforms, apparels, gears, shoes and accessories for the next ten years as Illinois has extended its partnership with the company.
Pleased over the deal, Marty Kaufmann, Assistant Director – Athletics in Business Development at Illinois averred, “It was really important to keep the relationship with Nike. This goes back to almost two years ago when our decision was made, and with the support of our campus, to stay with Nike. The greatest challenge was making sure we were able to get that done and working with Nike. I think Nike gave us a deal where we are both very pleased with the terms.”
