A three-piece suit, inspired by the famous James Bond movies, which has killer looks plus bulletproof protection, almost everything a courageous 21st century detective could need, is being released by a Canadian tailor. Garrison Bespoke, the company, believes the suit to be an amalgamation of style and safety, created using lightweight carbon nano-tube technology to absorb impact from bullets fired from handguns and prevent punctures from knife attacks. The luxury suit, retailing at almost US $ 20,000, seeks to provide a select few customers a way to avoid being killed while travelling abroad. As curators of smart tailoring, the company could not simply use bulky Kevlar, the typical combat protection material used in police and directive military gear. Once the suit is made, six thin nano-tube sheets are slipped into the lining of the back of the suit jacket and in the front of the vest, allowing the fit to remain crisp and clean. Garrison Bespoke has commissioned all kinds of special suits, including crushed-sapphire tuxedos and suits to be worn underwater.
