Carvico, a leading Italian developer and producer of the latest-generation non-run stretch fabrics, has launched its VITA fabrics at the ongoing Eurobike in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
VITA fabrics – the innovative high-performance product is designed to provide outstanding compression performance using the textile research carried out by the Lycra Sport brand and help athletes limit the amount of energy they waste, leading to improved performance, claims the manufacturer. The new high performance fabric also carries Lycra Sport certification in the technical sports clothing for the cycling sector.

Edy Figini, Head of Marketing – Invista Italy while commenting on the venture stated, “We’re glad to once again work side-by-side with Carvico in a significant new project we have great belief in. Our Lycra Sport brand has been developed with the aim of offering all the innovation and hi-tech value possible to a segment with such specific requirements – active sport.”
Developed from cutting edge research by the Carvico labs, Vita fabrics offer a wide range of benefits: the fabrics are thinner than the classic charmeuse (thickness reduced by around 20 per cent); more compact as it does not show the typical channelling of non-run fabrics; smoother and softer thanks to the use of multifilament polyamide; and excellent shape retention and fit because of the use of Lycra XTRA LIFE™ fibre.
