
Calzedonia Group, owner of brands like Calzedonia, Intimissimi, Tezenis, Falconeri, Signorvino and Atelier Emé, has noted an increase of 82 per cent to Euro 208 million from Euro 114 million in net profit in 2016.
This year its turnover reached Euro 2,128 million or 5.4 per cent more than the previous year, driven by the global growth of all its brands. Calzedonia, in particular, recorded sales of Euro 705 million, Intimissimi – Euro 665 million, Tezenis generated Euro 566 million in sales, and Falconeri booked Euro 61 million in sales. Signorvino also grew, invoicing Euro 21 million in 2016.
Spain emerged as one of the main growth markets for Calzedonia Group in 2016.

It may be noted here that the Calzedonia Group operates over 4,000 stores (about 2,400 outside Italy) and has a staff of over 32,000 employees. In 2015, its 50 per cent of consolidated revenue was generated from outside Italy. So looking at the gripping turnover, the Group is looking to expand with new stores outside Italy. It is also planning to open a dozen stores in New York and its surroundings.
