EFI, a leading digital technology solution provider, has made EFI Fiery digital front end (DFE) for the Xerox iGen 5 Press available in the market.
The new Fiery DFE server is the first commercially available DFE on the Fiery FS300 Pro platform.
Fiery DFE is said to support the iGen 5 Press’ new white dry ink capability which enables precise printing of content on coloured media. It also simplifies the white dry ink management throughout the workflow.
The intuitive user interface design of the server enables fast set-up. It can overprint up to 127 spot colours per page.
The Fiery DFE also assists users to prioritise spot colour edits on a job basis according to the customer preferences.
Additionally, Object Inspector and Total Area Coverage are the two Fiery ImageViewer enhancements that help users identify imaging problems. “This allows for diagnosis of colour problems without going back to the source files, saving hours in turnaround time,” claims the company.
Furthermore, the G7 System Certified profiling and calibrating solution ‘Fiery Color Profiler Suite 4.9’ makes it easy for operators at any skill level to calibrate a Fiery Driven Xerox iGen 5 press for G7 compliance.
