Shima Seiki, the Japanese pioneer in the production of computerised knitting machines, is gearing up to exhibit at the upcoming 15th edition of Dhaka International Textile & Garment Machinery Exhibition (DTG 2018) in Bangladesh. The garment technology expo is scheduled to be held in the following week from 8th to 11th of February.

The technology provider will mark its presence at DTG 2018 in association with its Bangladesh’s partner Pacific Associates Ltd.

The knitting technology giant is eyeing to display solutions to match up the ongoing market needs as well as futuristic innovations for the flourishing textile and apparel industry of Bangladesh.

At the fair, first on the display will be Shima Seiki’s renowned WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine SWG091N2. This technology can produce a garment in one piece, thereby eliminating the need for sewing or linking operations.

During the 4-day technology show, Shima Seiki will also showcase its benchmark computerised flat knitting machines: SVR123SP and SSR112SV.

The flat knitting machines are equipped with inlay technique which is said to produce value-added hybrid knitweave fabrics. SVR123SP also features an ‘i Plating’ option that can substitute yarn colours in any desired pattern. In addition, the plating can be performed within the same course and for individual needles for greater diversity in knit design, as well.

The next on display at DTG 2018 by Shima Seiki will be the SSR series of workhorse machine. The machine is studded with DSCS (Digital Stitch Control System), moveable spring sinker system, yarn gripper and cutter, stitch presser and takedown comb.

Shima Seiki’s PCAM series’ computerised cutting machine will also be on display at the event. Additionally, as per the latest inputs received, the company will also present its CAM systems as well at the fair for the first time ever.

Another highlight will the company’s SDSONE APEX3 3D design system. Its “Total Fashion System” integrates all the stages of apparel manufacturing; right from planning and design to production and sales; into one simplified and efficient workflow.

Witnessing a stronghold in the Bangladesh’ market since 1996, this is the 11th time Shima Seiki will participate in DTG.
