Bangladesh Textile Sustainability Seminar 2017, slated to be held on 16th-17th February, in Dhaka, Bangladesh will focus on sustainability in the textile industry.
Organized by ECV International, the two-day conference aims at analysing the country’s textile industry in order to get a better understanding of its textile market and avoid the risks while finding opportunities. It is also platform for international buyers to learn the latest sourcing strategies and trends in Bangladesh textile industry, and for suppliers it is a way to find the solution to the problems they face while investing in factories.

Experts from various organizations including Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies and Centre for Policy Dialogue will address at the programme. The speakers will focus on several issues such as latest development situation and prospects of the textile industry in Bangladesh, best solutions for textile sustainability in Bangladesh, ethical sourcing, buyers’ practices and suppliers’ corporate social responsibility audit in Bangladesh among others. A panel discussion on sustainable sourcing and developing trends in Bangladesh textile market will also take place.
