Archroma, a globally renowned company specialising in sustainable specialty chemicals, will feature its line of environmentally conscious denimwear solutions at the Bangladesh Denim Expo. The upcoming international fair in Dhaka on 16-17 May will provide an opportunity for brands and textile mills to examine the company’s complete range of denim solutions, which includes a novel black coloration system.
The global demand for denim is on the rise; however, traditional denim manufacturing methods are in contrast to modern consumers’ sustainability expectations. To compete in this expanding market, brands must be capable of producing denim that provides the desired functional features and aesthetic appeal, while also having a low environmental impact.
Umberto De Vita, the Denim Segment Director of Archroma’s Textile Effects Division, stated that many brands consider sustainability as a crucial aspect, and consumers are becoming more aware of the environmental consequences of their decisions.
Archroma is ready to present an extensive line-up of sustainable system solutions at the Expo, including DEEP SOUL – a system for overdyeing denim and woven fabrics with minimal water and energy usage without compromising on aesthetics. PURE INDIGO ICON is another highlight, an aniline-free* indigo system that produces authentic denim while being environmental-friendly. Another standout is INDIGO REFLECTION, a coloration system that mimics the behaviour of indigo but with a more sustainable and efficient process. EVOLUTION BLACK is the company’s newest addition to its denim system solution, offering authentic black denim effects with reduced resources.
