Asia is gearing up for the 9th Asian Apparel and Textile Machinery Exhibition, AAMA-TEX 2014, which is scheduled from 14th to 17th October with the concept on Innovation, Sustainability and Productivity. AAMA-TEX serves as the only trade exhibition for the garment and textile manufacturing industry in the region that serves 10 key markets in South and Southeast Asia namely Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
To be held at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre, the fair is anticipated to showcase the latest state-of-the-art technologies, systems, machinery, equipment and accessories for the apparel and textile industry. Organized by the Sewing Machine Traders Association of Singapore and the Textile & Fashion Federation of Singapore, AAMA-TEX is held once every 3 years from 1989 until 2010, and has become the one-stop sourcing hub for the latest production technology, machinery and accessories for the garment and textile industries of South and Southeast Asia.
Giving greater value to the participants and visitors alike, a technical seminar or workshop will also be held with the main objective to provide exhibiting companies the opportunity to present first-hand production technology, solutions, systems, machinery, equipment and accessories to a targeted audience of garment & textile manufacturers and technology, equipment & accessories suppliers. The focus of the workshop will be on new technologies and solutions for garment and textile production.
Concurrent to the event, Li & Fung (Kohl’s Sourcing Group) will organize and co-locate their annual Kohl’s/Li & Fung Global Quality & Lean Conference, bringing together some 300 leading and highly reputable garment manufacturers, mutually benefiting both events at one go. The 3-day event will be a quality and lean conference followed by multiple workshops and concurrent one-to-one meetings with key apparel manufacturers and trims suppliers within the exhibition hall.
