
Bangladesh’s increasing earnings from exports — Bangladesh earned over US $ 5 billion from merchandise exports in November — is raising hopes that the current crisis in terms of foreign exchange, will be eased significantly.
As per figures from the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladesh surpassed the previous monthly highest income of US $ 4,098 billion in last June after it registered earning of US $ 5.09 billion from exports this year on the back of surge in apparel exports.
It may be mentioned here Bangladesh has faced some issues in terms of foreign exchange reserves even if the Bangladesh Bank Governor — Bangladesh Bank is Bangladesh’s central bank — Abdur Rouf Talukder recently assured there will be no foreign exchange crisis from January 2023.
