The 10th edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo and the 2nd edition of Bangladesh Fashionology Summit concluded recently on a winning note.
In addition to being the platform to create big business opportunities, the event also helped many learn new business rules.
Circularity, which is a global buzzword today, was the talking point at the event and the industry agreed in unison that a new scenario need to be created where environment is least impacted by the industry. There were also informative seminars, engaging workshops and useful round table discussions on circularity, which garnered positive response from the participants.
Like circularity, technology too was a major focus of the event. 41 speakers across the globe discussed numerous ways technology could support the fashion industry. Some of such ways are transparency in global supply chain, technology for enhancing decent working conditions and, importantly, digitalisation of supply chain.
There was good knowledge sharing on how technology could minimise cost and shorten the lead times – a perennial concern for the industry.
Denim collections too got good response from the visitors. The world community of denim was represented by nearly 63 exhibitors from 11 countries at the 2-day event.
