As per officials of the Labour ministry, developing an NPA was a must to implement the national OSH policy and the plan should be finalised with the recommendations from stakeholders concerned more so as countries like Cambodia, Thailand and Vietnam have already developed such plan of action for implementing OSH regulations.
These countries have reportedly also been able to reduce the number of fatal accidents by implementing the programmes.
