Tech-based logistics provider Paperfly, which, reportedly, offers doorstep delivery services all around Bangladesh, has sent a legal notice to the e-commerce platform Evaly recently seeking settlement of outstanding payments for delivery service charges, to the tune of Taka 7 crore.
Speaking to the media, Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Paperfly, Rahath Ahmed, maintained, “…we sent the legal notice on Monday giving them one week to respond,” even as he added in case Evaly fails to respond by then, Paperfly will sue the e-commerce platform.
The Chief Marketing Officer of the tech-based logistics provider further, reportedly, added that his company has been making the last mile deliveries of Evaly for a long time even as Evaly has failed to pay its dues for deliveries from January to July, and went on to add, “We have tried on many occasions to settle the matter. But they have sent us many post-dated cheques and the withdrawal dates are many months away…”
Rahath also underlined that the due amount of Taka 7 crore is rather substantial, while adding that Paperfly was the first company in Bangladesh taking this step.
…we thought this is high time for us to do so and to make others aware, Rahath added.
