Swedish fashion giant H&M is seems to be on an expansion mode. The retailer, who recently announced opening of more stores in USA and India, is now mulling over opening a 20,000-square-foot store at Downtown Summerlin, an outdoor business, entertainment, fashion and retail district in the USA.

An H&M spokesperson informed that the apparel retailer is “always looks to open in the best locations where we can meet the needs of our customer base and provide them with even more access to our great fashions in a sustainable way”.
Earlier, the reports were doing rounds that H&M would open a 26,000-square-foot store at Tivoli Village, but it seems that the company has called-off the plan. “They won’t do both centres. They’re too close. Downtown Summerlin and Tivoli Village compete for the overall shopping dollars in the area, but at the end of the day, I don’t know that they’ll have tenant mixes that resemble each other at all,” explained Matt Bear, VP – CBRE Las Vegas. Downtown Summerlin already has a mix of clothing retailers like GAP, Banana Republic, Express and lululemon athletica.
The new H&M store will feature assortments for kids, women and men, along with a separate store-within-a-store section for accessories. At present, the fashion retailer operates in around 60 countries across the globe with more than 2,300 stores.

It is expected that the opening of store in Downtown Summerlin will further push sales at H&M. As the location is known for the presence of retail giants, the clothing firm would surely want to reap benefits out of it.
