Thanks to increased demand during Eid and the promotional activities being carried out by the company concerned, the sales of Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) Limited witnessed increase of 51 per cent year-on-year to Taka 213 crore in the July-September quarter.
This has been underlined in recent media reports which added the company’s sales also witnessed 37 per cent Y-o-Y increase to Taka 744 crore in the January-September period as well.
According to the financial report of the multinational shoemaker, it made a comeback, riding on the higher sales, and booked a profit of Taka 27.50 crore in July-September period after incurring a loss to the tune of Taka 14.76 crore in the previous quarter.
Meanwhile, the board of directors of the company have reportedly declared a 260 per cent interim cash dividend based on the nine months’ financials and the retained earnings up to 31st December 2021.
