The ex-chairperson of the beleaguered e-commerce entity Evaly, which is mired in controversy, has been allowed by the High Court (HC) to join the firm as director after HC-appointed board resigned.
Reports maintained the HC has ordered the inclusion of Shamima Nasreen along with her mother and brother-in-law on the new board of directors even as the court-appointed board has, reportedly, been given the choice of resigning after the formation of a new board of directors.
The order in this direction has, reportedly, been passed by the HC bench of Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar.
It may be mentioned here on 10 August Shamima Nasreen appealed to the court-appointed board for restarting the infamous platform’s operations even as she asked to include herself, her mother and her sister’s husband on the board of directors in the application.
