US-based fashion retailer Abercrombie & Fitch, known for its high-quality casual luxury apparel and accessories, is set to launch its first store in Saudi Arabia in September 2017.
The company has partnered with Majid Al Futtaim, an Emirati holding company based in Dubai, to foray into the Middle Eastern country.
Abercrombie & Fitch is planning to give an engaging shopping environment to its customers in Saudi Arabia through its omnichannel capabilities.
The yet to be opened store will come up at the Red Sea Mall in Jeddah. The store will spread over an area of 728 square metres and display Fall/Winter collection of the brand. Abercrombie Kids brand will also get space in the store.
Majid Al Futtaim was the first to introduce the Abercrombie & Fitch brand in Kuwait and later in the UAE.
Two stores of the fashion retail brand are already operational in Qatar under the franchise agreement signed between the two companies in the year 2016.
Shireen El Khatib, CEO, Majid Al Futtaim Fashion commented, “The franchise agreement has helped us expand our fashion brand portfolio and the Abercrombie & Fitch label in the Middle East region.”
Abercrombie & Fitch expects that the collaboration with Majid Al Futtaim will further assist and support the brand to expand its reach in Middle East region.
The fashion brand is now targeting Oman and Bahrain to open its new stores there in the coming years.
