As many as nine customers of Bangladesh e-commerce entity Alesha Mart recently received Taka 28.36 lakh in refund as part of the payment they made while ordering products from the portal through advance payment, but did not get delivery of the same even as subsequently the money got stuck in the payment gateway.
According to reports, the money got stuck on two segments – Taka31 crore in the first and Taka10 crore in the other even as a total of 485 customers will, reportedly, get Taka10.61 crore refunds in phases.
This was, reportedly, confirmed by the Commerce Ministry.
“…we have started the refund process of Alesha Mart customers. We are trying to look further into other operators and find ways to complete all refunds,” reportedly, maintained Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh at the refund ceremony held in this regard recently.
