Designing, developing and manufacturing customized furniture items since 1980, Delhi-based Anand Furnishers are now gearing up for its next round of R&D. Already having sewing room furniture installations at premier export houses of the nation, the company is now looking at designing cutting tables that have seamless joints. “Wherever there is a joint on a cutting table, the machine gets stuck or something unpleasant happens because of improper levelling. We are working towards alleviating that problem,” informs SS Anand, Director, Anand Furnishers.
Given the nature of the product and the rigors of ergonomics that it must conform to, the company places immense value in the product development process. “When we meet the customer, we understand his requirement. Having a technical background, we accordingly design it and develop it. Then the customer tries it and we take the feedback. Whatever suggestions are given by the customer, we incorporate it,” elaborates Anand. The company has its own modern manufacturing unit at Greater Noida industrial area. “Our unit is fully equipped with latest machinery and equipments to produce any kind of furniture item with utmost precision and accuracy,” Anand adds.
Having a strong grip on industry demands today, the company also claims to have pioneered the concept of indigenous bus bars for the Indian apparel manufacturing industry. “Back in those days, we got a few images from international sources, then we developed our own prototype and product for this and it is not only popular but indispensible as well,” avers Anand.
The company’s offerings for the apparel manufacturing industry include machine centre table, feeding-checking-finishing tables, storage racks, trolleys, canteen table and benches, pallets, slotted angles, operator stools and chairs, cutting tables and QC tables. Going forward, the company is now looking at attending more fairs as a tool for growth and industry interaction. “It gives us credible inputs on the requirements of the industry,” Anand concludes.
