
New office-bearers for 2025-27 term have been announced by the Bangladesh-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BGCCI) as a part of the strategic move to foster stronger international business collaboration. Md. Rokonuzzaman, FCA, Country Managing Director of AMANN Bangladesh, has been elected as President and has committed to strengthening economic and trade relations between Bangladesh and Germany.
He emphasised in a statement about the significance of utilising Bangladesh and Germany’s long-standing connection for mutual prosperity and sustainable development. “Particularly in important industries like clothing, renewable energy and emerging technologies, the business relationship between Bangladesh and Germany is an essential engine for progress,” he stated.
The following Senior Vice Presidents are part of the newly elected leadership team:
Tariq Anwar, Managing Director, MAN Energy Solutions Bangladesh Ltd., and Md. Farooque Khan, Managing Director, Weber Power Solutions Ltd.
The Vice Presidents include: Navaneetha Krishnan, Managing Director, Robert Bosch (Bangladesh) Ltd., and Osman Haidar, Chairman, LOS Technology Ltd.
The BGCCI is a bilateral business organization that promotes economic and business ties between Germany and Bangladesh. The chamber helps strengthen business connections and facilitate knowledge sharing through networking events and other activities.
